Hello, I'm Ozlem
I am a Maryland-based artist with a nontraditional path into fine art. My academic background is rooted in Business Administration and Information Technology. Early in my career, I explored my creativity through graphic design, web design, and development.
I grew up in Istanbul, Türkiye, a city rich in history, culture, and art that inspired my passion for the arts from a young age. My interest in art began in high school with drawing classes. Over time I experimented with watercolor, acrylics, and water-mixable oils. Eventually, I transitioned to traditional oil painting, which became a turning point in my journey.
I am currently practicing traditional oil painting techniques at the Zoll Studio School of Fine Art in Baltimore. My commitment to my craft has led me to exhibit my work in several juried exhibitions and galleries, where I have also received recognition, including a Second Place, Still Life Award, 92nd International Exhibition of Fine Art in Miniature, MPSGS, Bethesda, Maryland in 2025.
